Well I kissed mine, too. An' I shouldn't've. I didn't have a damn clue what t'do about it, so I ran away.

[it's not the entire picture, but it's a section more than he'd willingly divulge to too many others, evident from the way his focus moves to a point just above her head-- it's embarrassing to talk about, maybe even hard to think about, but he'll share with her]

You can explain to her it was the ship's doing. After all, weird things are always happening on this place. It's not that uncommon.
